We’re recruiting a Crisis Recovery Worker on behalf of a leading mental health support service providing short-term accommodation to individuals experiencing a decline in their mental health. This is a vital frontline role where you’ll be part of a dedicated team helping people regain stability, build confidence, and move towards independence.

About the Service
The service offers a calm and supportive environment in a 5-bedroom facility, each with private en-suite, shared communal areas, and 24-hour staffing. Working closely with NHS mental health pathways, the service provides CBT-informed interventions and social prescribing support for individuals aged 16+ referred via clinical teams.

The Role
As a Crisis Recovery Worker, you will play a central role in delivering daily support to residents, ensuring their safety and wellbeing, and helping them take steps towards recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide person-centered emotional and practical support

Use therapeutic tools (e.g. CBT-informed approaches) to assist residents with managing mental health challenges

Monitor and respond to risk, safeguarding, and individual care needs

Assist with daily routines including meal prep, medication prompts, and personal care if needed

Maintain accurate records, contribute to support planning and multi-agency reviews

Uphold a calm, respectful, and non-judgmental environment at all times

About You
You are caring, resilient, and calm under pressure. You understand mental health and trauma-informed care and are committed to helping people regain control in a crisis.

Essential Criteria:

Experience in a mental health, housing support, or social care setting

Comfortable working in a 24/7 shift-based role (including nights and weekends)

Ability to support people with complex needs while maintaining professional boundaries

Strong communication and record-keeping skills

Understanding of safeguarding and risk management procedures

Desirable:

Knowledge of CBT or other therapeutic models

NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent

What’s in it for You?
Be part of a compassionate, skilled team making a real difference every day

25 days’ holiday + additional wellbeing days

£35 monthly wellbeing allowance

Private healthcare (after qualifying period)

Full induction and continuous professional development

Supportive management team and strong clinical partnerships
