GS Social Care Solutions Ltd are looking for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team.

Working on a full-time basis at our Accrington Residential Home, the successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £13.39 per hour.

The service user is on a 1:1 support. More details will be given at interview.

The candidate must have a full UK manual driving licence.

The rota is:

Week 1&3
Monday, Thursday, Friday

Week 2&4

Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday

All shifts are 7:45am till 8pm.

The Residential Support Worker Role

You will be part of a team offering a comprehensive residential service to children and young people, the aim being to ensure the physical, social and emotional care, and development of the residents.

As a Residential Support Worker your role would include tasks such as:

· Carrying out duties in line with GS Social Care Solutions policies and procedures

· Acting as a key worker to specific young people

· Promoting structure, boundaries and domestic routines within the home

· Being fully aware of safeguarding and child protection issues

· Fully understanding the reporting process of child protection within the home

· Understanding the principles of safeguarding oneself.

· Working in line with young people’s care plans, health plans and risk assessments

· Assisting in health promotion and development of the young people

· Working in accordance with the National Minimum Standards and co-operate with any inspection process

· Providing a positive role model for the young people, presenting yourself in a highly professional manner

· Working in partnership with other agencies to the benefit of the young people

· Participating in, and completing reports

· Developing and maintaining appropriate working relationships with families

· Attending and participating in supervision and staff meetings

· Working with others to meet the social, emotional, education, health and mental health needs of young people

· Having good communication skills and be competent in the English language

· Supporting young people with education in a non-teaching capacity and providing and participating in leisure activities

· Co-operating with the Company in complying with the Health and Safety requirements

It’s important to us that our Residential Support Worker has the following:

Valid Full UK Driving License - ESSENTIAL
