SEN Teaching Assistant
- Location: Coventry, CV10 (Near Nuneaton Town Centre)
- Weekly Rate: £455-£480
- Start Date: ASAP
- Hours: 8:45am to 3:00pm (Term Time Only)
- Contract: Long Term to Permanent
We are working with a welcoming, two-form entry mainstream primary school in Nuneaton, looking to appoint a calm, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision for pupils with ASD and EHCPs.
The role is based within a dedicated communication and interaction hub that supports children across Years 3 to 6 with complex needs, including challenging behaviour. You'll be joining a highly experienced team of SEN professionals and will play a key role in delivering 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to individual needs.
- A Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)
- Proven experience working with children with ASD and behavioural challenges
- Familiarity with EHCPs and confidence in tracking pupil progress
- The ability to work closely with class teachers and other SEN staff as part of a team
- A good understanding of the KS2 curriculum and strategies to support inclusion
- Located in CV10, within walking distance of local transport links and town centre amenities
- Two-form entry with a highly diverse intake, including many pupils with English as an additional language
- Friendly and inclusive school culture where pupils settle in quickly
- Well-established enhanced SEN provision for pupils with communication and interaction needs
- Strong leadership and an experienced SENCO who values teamwork and staff development
- Long-term, full-time work with the opportunity for a permanent role
- No day-to-day supply - consistent placements in high-quality schools
