Deputy Service Manager

Full-time, Permanent

Expected hours: 35 per week

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join their team in providing exceptional care within their facility. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations, ensuring that their residents receive the highest standard of care. This position requires a compassionate individual who is skilled in managing care plans, Rota and supervising staff within a senior care environment, including residential homes and supported living facilities.

Duties:

- Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans for residents, ensuring their specific needs are met.

- Supervise and manage staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective delivery of care.

- Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with health regulations and best practices.

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive mental health, Autism, learning disabilities care and support for residents with varying needs.

- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all residents, promoting their dignity and independence.

- Conduct regular assessments of resident wellbeing and adjust care plans as necessary.

- Facilitate training sessions for staff on best practices in senior care and medication management.

- Engage with families to communicate updates on resident progress and address any concerns.

Experience:

- Previous experience in a senior care setting, such as supported living, home care or residential, is essential.

- Proven ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment.

- Familiarity with care plans and the specific needs of residents requiring personal care and medication.

- A background in health and social care or relevant healthcare qualifications will be advantageous.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
