Duties of the role include, but are not limited to: Providing general healthcare to all registered patients during normal practice hours. Undertaking mandatory medical examinations and provide appropriate occupational healthcare and advice, and all supporting administrative duties. Providing primary care emergency treatment to any patient who may require this within the Establishment. Appropriately supervising the management of communicable diseases, including monitoring and reporting through single Service chains. Representing the Senior Medical Officer (SMO) on Medical Practice related issues where necessary, including participation in unit health committees where appropriate. All employees joining Ministry of Defence who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a 6-month probation period (unless otherwise advised) effective from the employment start date. Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is security check. Please note the salary will be pro-rata where part time hours are undertaken. If found successful for this position, you will be required to provide evidence of your immunity to Hepatitis B. Failure to provide evidence of your immunity may result in the offer of employment being withdrawn.
