Location: Liskeard
Hours: 15 hours per week (Thursdays & Fridays only)
Salary: £25,500 per annum (pro rata)
Immediate Start for the right candidate

We are seeking a dependable and confident Finance Assistant to support our clients busy Finance department. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, trustworthy, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively. A positive attitude and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.

Key Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounts office


  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel


  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping processes (Sales, Purchase, General Ledger)


  • Experience in:

    • Accounts Receivable and Payable


    • Credit control


    • Sage Payroll and Sage Accounts



    • Currently studying towards an accountancy qualification (desirable, not essential)


    • Full, clean driving licence


    • Xero experience is an advantage (training provided during system migration)


      Main Responsibilities
      • Monitor and manage the finance email inbox


      • Set up new customer and supplier accounts


      • Process credit applications and monitor supply chain activities


      • Handle purchase ledger transactions for scheduled payment runs


      • Administer fortnightly sub-contractor payments and CIS statements


      • Process fortnightly payroll


      • Maintain and update internal control documentation


      • Order office stationery


      • Provide general support to the Finance Manager as required

        • This is a job share position


        • Office-based role; remote working is not available
