Hours: 15 hours per week (Thursdays & Fridays only)
Salary: £25,500 per annum (pro rata)
Immediate Start for the right candidate
We are seeking a dependable and confident Finance Assistant to support our clients busy Finance department. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, trustworthy, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively. A positive attitude and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.
Key Requirements-
Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounts office

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Strong understanding of bookkeeping processes (Sales, Purchase, General Ledger)

Experience in:
-
Accounts Receivable and Payable
-
Credit control
-
Sage Payroll and Sage Accounts
-
Currently studying towards an accountancy qualification (desirable, not essential)

Full, clean driving licence
-
Xero experience is an advantage (training provided during system migration)
Main Responsibilities-
Monitor and manage the finance email inbox
-
Set up new customer and supplier accounts
-
Process credit applications and monitor supply chain activities

Handle purchase ledger transactions for scheduled payment runs

Administer fortnightly sub-contractor payments and CIS statements
-
Process fortnightly payroll
-
Maintain and update internal control documentation
-
Order office stationery
-
Provide general support to the Finance Manager as required
