We are currently looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join our small, close-knit engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled individual with a strong engineering background who is confident working on CNC machines using Fanuc controls, capstan lathes, and drillers.
As a Machine Operator, you’ll work alongside an experienced setter, contributing to the smooth and efficient running of our machine shop. The role requires someone who is versatile, hands-on, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC machines with Fanuc controls.
Work on capstan lathes, manual drillers, and other shop equipment.
Support setup and tooling under the guidance of the team setter.
Ensure accurate and consistent production of components.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
The Ideal Machine Operator Will Have:
Previous experience as a Machine Operator in a similar setting.
Strong understanding of Fanuc controls and CNC operation.
Familiarity with capstan lathes and workshop tooling.
A proactive and adaptable attitude.
A background in engineering or precision manufacturing.
This Machine Operator position offers daytime-only working hours Monday to Thursday 08.00-17.00 with an 1pm finish on a Friday, making it ideal for those seeking a stable and structured schedule. We are offering a competitive hourly rate of £14.00 – £16.00, with a clear path to a permanent role for the right person.
