Job Description
Machine Shop – Setter/Operator (Full Time 39 hours per week) (Permanent)
Solid Swivel Company Ltd, Cradley Heath, would like to recruit an experienced Machine Shop Setter/Operator.
Established in 1910 the Company has a long history of manufacturing quality engineered products here in the midlands and is a renowned local employer.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Setting-up and safe operation of drilling, milling, turning, threading, marking and other machining processes.
• Inspection of components against engineering drawings and/or work instructions after machining.
• Grinding & linishing
• Setting-up and safe operation of tensile test machines.
• ID marking of components.
• Undertaking training as required for the role.
Preferred Knowledge & Experience:
• Radial & Pedestal drilling machines
• Milling machines
• Centre Lathes
• Landis threading machines
• Tensile test machines
• Telesis marking machines & hand stamping
• Grinding & linishing
• Fork Lift Truck Driving
Specific training on our products and equipment will be provided as required for the role.
Hourly Rate
Dependent upon knowledge and experience.
36 days holiday per year
