Key Stage One Graduate Teaching Assistant
Are you a graduate looking to gain hands-on primary school experience before applying for teacher training?
*** Academic Year – September 2025 to July 2026
*** £81–£101 per day
*** Primary school based in the Ward of Yardley
*** Academic support across the KS1 national curriculum
*** Ideal for aspiring primary teachers
You’ll work closely with class teachers to support pupils across Key Stage One, helping them build confidence in phonics, reading, writing, and maths. You’ll run small group sessions, provide in-class support, and assist with planning and preparation. You’ll play a key role in helping young children stay focused, enjoy learning, and make strong academic progress.
You’ve got a 2:1 or above, strong A-Levels, and ideally some experience with children—whether through schools, tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering. You’re patient, enthusiastic, and know how to communicate clearly with young learners. You’re considering a career in teaching and want to develop the skills and insight needed before taking the next step.
This is a well-run, welcoming primary school in the Ward of Yardley with a strong focus on early learning and pupil wellbeing. The staff team is supportive and experienced in developing graduates into confident future teachers. You’ll get practical classroom experience, strong mentoring, and a real sense of purpose from day one.
Due to the number of applications, only successful candidates will be contacted.
