We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Nottinghamshire to assist with the appointment of a Social Worker, on a 2.5-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £19.66 - £26.51 per hour

Summary:

As a Social Worker within Nottinghamshire County Council, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, responsive, and effective social work services to children, young people, and families. The role requires skilled assessment, planning, and intervention to ensure the safety, well-being, and development of children. You will manage a varied caseload with a degree of independence and contribute to improving outcomes for service users through collaboration and inter-agency working.

Responsibilities:

Undertake complex assessments of need, risk, and capacity in a timely manner.
Develop, implement, and review care plans that promote the welfare of children.
Manage a caseload, ensuring compliance with legislative and procedural requirements.
Work in partnership with children, families, and other professionals to safeguard children.
Prepare clear, structured reports and court statements as required.
Qualifications:

Recognized Social Work Qualification (e.g. DipSW, CQSW, BA/MA in Social Work).
Registration with Social Work England.
Commitment to continuous professional development, including maintaining a CPD record.
Essentials:

Direct post-qualification experience in children's social work is essential.
Experience in statutory child protection, court work, and working with looked-after children is desirable.
Proven experience in multi-agency working and team collaboration.
