Location: Chatelherault Country Park, Ferniegair, Hamilton
Hours: 35 hours per week
Shift Pattern:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Core hours are from 7.30am until 5.30pm, to meet the needs of the service you may be required to work outwith these times for special events and functions.

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are looking to recruit a Visitor Services Officer to join their busy team at Chatelherault Country Park. The Park has 500 acres of countryside and woodland and over ten miles of routed pathways. It features an adventure playground, picnic facilities and is home to a listed 18th century hunting lodge. From the hunting lodge we operate our gift shop, café and visitor centre which can host major events, corporate events, weddings and much more.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day duty management of the venue and must have a proven track record of supervising and overseeing all operational aspects of the building including café, site and park operations, legislative compliance, health and safety and a knowledge of various IT packages.
You must have experience of staff supervision, payroll, absence monitoring, staff development and team briefings, as well as the ability to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills and previous experience of working within a customer focussed organisation.
The ability to lead a team in a motivated and enthusiastic manor is essential to the requirements of the post.
