• Position : Warehouse Manager
• Employer : Hygienic & Packaging Wholesale and Retail
• Gross annual salary : £29,000 to £34,000 (depending on designation)
• UK location : Glasgow
• Working days / hours : up to 37 / 45 hours within a 5 day week
• Benefits : 28 days paid holiday (pro rata), income boosting incentives, employer’s workplace pension, and more

Warehouse Manager responsible for a vital part of the supply chain process, processes and systems in order to ensure goods are received and dispatched appropriately, the active streamlining of a business's supply side activities to maximize customer value and that productivity targets are met. Candidate should have an entrepreneurial mind set for business building in terms of maximising and optimising the brand appeal.
The post includes the following roles and requirements
• liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies
• coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods
• use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
• have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these
• coordinate the use of automated and computerised systems where necessary
• respond to and deal with customer communication by email and telephone
• keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
• plan future capacity requirements
• organise the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
• Monitoring, overseeing and delegating junior management and staff. Ensuring duties are fulfilled accordingly; training, and coaching; communicating job expectations; appraising, and reviewing planning and reviewing actions; implementing policies and procedures.
• produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
• brief team leaders on a daily basis
• maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safely
• oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment
• where appropriate, oversee the maintenance and operation of warehouse management systems and automated storage and retrieval systems
• Maintain a safe and secure environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; overseeing security and wellbeing of operations
To qualify for selection you must have the following minimum requirements: -
• Eligibility to live and work in UK
• Educated to degree level (but not essential)
• Awareness of cultural partialities and protocols where appropriate
• Extensive experience at required skill level to be verified by references
In addition you should also:-
• Performance, achievement and results driven
• Have an for eye detail
• Able to work well with others
• Energetic, physically fit and in good health
• A hardworking, fastidious and conscientious individual
• FAST PACED AND BE ABLE TO WORK UNDER PRESSURE
