As a TradeChoice Transport Manager, part of your role will include:
* Manage and oversee warehouse activity, including receiving, storing, and shipping.
* Ensuring the efficient management and control of the Warehouse Operation whilst achieving agreed budgetary and service levels.
* Ensure accurate inventory tracking and record-keeping, and implement procedures to improve inventory control.
* Oversee the maintenance of equipment (fleet and inhouse FLT, etc) and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operation of the
warehouse.
* Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
* Develop and implement standard operating procedures for warehouse operations.
* Manage and train warehouse staff, including setting performance goals and providing regular feedback and coaching.
* Work closely with other departments, such as sales, logistics, and procurement, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
* Monitor warehouse expenses and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
* Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions as needed.
* Overseeing goods in and goods out process.
* Managing operational change and process improvements through adoption of best practice.
Your working pattern:
* Monday to Friday
* 8:00am to 5:30pm
* 60-minute Break
You:
* Experience in warehouse operations, including supervisory experience.
* Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management best practices.
* Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and inventory control software.
* Awareness of Health & Safety and Quality standards.
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
* Forklift, Reach or Counterbalance Truck Licence (or working towards)
* NEBOSH, IOSH qualification or similar (desirable)
