Preferred days/times:
Sun -3.5hrs AM – 6.30-7.00am start
Mon -3.5hrs AM – 6am-7am start
Monday-Sunday:
Teatime: 1 hour – 5pm-6pm
Bedtime: 1 hour – 9.30pm start
Tasks/duties:
To assist with transfers using ceiling track hoist for bed to wheelchair/toilet, lower body shower/washing, dressing, monitoring skin, applying creams, setting up medication, shopping if required, preparation of meal and drinks, laundry and essential cleaning.
Client main diagnosis:
Cerebral palsy
Curvature of the spine -Scoliosis was surgically fixed in childhood with rods.
Minimal flexion at hips.
Left sided weakness
Nerve damage from cellulitis / nerve pain
Hypertension
Acid reflux
History of leg ulcers
Manual Handling
Ceiling track hoist use required
Pets

Communication:
No communication barriers
Client enjoys:
an active social life. They enjoy getting out and about in his community, they go out daily into the town to the local coffee shop and meets friends.
They are a Nottingham Forest supporter, and used to attend matches with their Dad
They enjoy attending concerts and can get themself in their motorised wheelchair to local amenities such as the GP surgery and Sainsbury’s.
They manage their own shopping.
This opportunity is suited for someone who is responsible, reliable, and positive with experience with manual handling and using a hoist
