Crynodeb
Purpose of job: The cleaner will keep high levels of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the Nursery, ensuring a clean working environment for the children, families and team.
Main Duties
To ensure that all areas of the Nursery as listed in the cleaning schedule are cleaned thoroughly and to a high standard, to minimise infection and to ensure a clean, safe environment for children, families and the team.
To complete deep cleans as and when required, where everything is pulled out and cleaned behind.
To clean underneath/ behind moveable items to ensure that so dirt/ dust is left in areas.
To report any hazards immediately inline with our Health and Safety Policy.
To be an assigned key holder for the Nursery and ensure that the Nursery is left secure, lights turned off, burglar alarm set.
To take responsibility for the cleaning equipment, ensuring this is stored correctly in the designated locked cupboards and that no cleaning products are mixed or left out during or after cleaning. To inform the Management when stocks are running low so that this can be ordered.
Ensure the COSHH sheets are read on how to work with cleaning products.
To follow all Nursery Policies and Procedures at all times.
To report any faulty equipment/ items immediately to the Management.
To work any additional/hours times with notice that the Nursery may require Preparing special events.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by nursery management in accordance with the nursery’s business plan/ objectives.
N.B this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Applicants must be prepared to disclose any convictions they may have and any orders which have been made against them.
