We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Nursery Housekeeper to join our warm and welcoming team. The role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for the children in our care.
Duties
Clean and sanitize toys, play equipment, and nursery rooms weekly
Maintain hygiene standards in all eating and kitchen areas
Assist in cleaning up after children’s meals and snacks
Ensure bathroom and changing areas are kept spotless
Follow all health and safety procedures in line with 5-star hygiene standards
Restock cleaning and hygiene supplies when needed
Requirements
Experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
Good communication skills to interact positively with team members.
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Understanding of hygiene and sanitation best practices, especially in environments with children
DBS update account (or willing to obtain a new DBS)
Responsible for cleaning and vacuuming: to carry out many tasks such as washing dishes, vacuuming both carpeted and hard flooring, cleaning bathrooms, oven cleaning and even dusting.
Responsible for laundry- to complete your laundry, as well as any other duties you may need help with.
Responsible to undertake and complete weekly deep cleaning of Kitchen and all pantry areas.
Responsible for backup for nursery cleaner when the cleaner is on holiday.
This is a part time role, 1pm to 5pm - Monday to Friday all year through
