Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and supervise daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house teams
• Ensure high standards of traditional Sri Lankan food presentation, quality, and hygiene
• Coordinate with chefs to maintain authentic menu items like rice & curry, kottu, hoppers, string hoppers, sambols, and biryani
• Handle customer service issues and feedback in a culturally appropriate and professional manner
• Recruit, train, and manage staff; promote knowledge of Sri Lankan dishes and service etiquette
• Oversee inventory management and procurement of Sri Lankan-specific ingredients and supplies
• Monitor budgets, sales targets, and profitability, and prepare performance reports
• Ensure compliance with UK food safety regulations and licensing laws
• Organize Sri Lankan-themed events, festival promotions (e.g., Sinhala and Tamil New Year), and cultural dining experiences
• Coordinate takeaway and delivery platforms (Just Eat, Uber Eats) while maintaining brand quality
• Build relationships with local Sri Lankan community networks and cultural associations
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, 5 Days per week, 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, Flexible time MAXIMUM 40 HOUR WEEK 28 DAYS paid HOLIDAYS
