Work Pattern
Your contracted hours each week throughout your apprenticeship will be 37 hours Monday - Friday. In this role you can expect to have to travel up 20% of your working hours.
Location
This role is based at Parker Meggitt’s Fareham Site. It is recommended that you live within a commutable distance of this location.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Communication: Respond to customer emails and phone calls, effectively managing their orders and enquiries.
Order Processing: Review, enter, and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
Quote Management: Raise and prioritise quotes and customer documentation to ensure top-notch service.
SAP System Usage: Use SAP (or equivalent ERP system, which is business operations management software) to identify parts, check lead times, and streamline the order process.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with Procurement, Demand Planning, and Manufacturing teams to produce accurate costing sheets for quotes.
Complaint Resolution: Handle customer complaints (e.g., warranty, delivery, quantity disputes) promptly and in the best interest of Parker Meggitt.

Training
Alongside your day role, you will work to complete your apprenticeship with your external training provider, Inspiro. This will give you the knowledge, training and external approval to do your job effectively.

Qualifications required
Qualifications
5 x GCSEs at Grade C/4 or equivalent, including Mathematics and English.In order to apply, you must:
Not already hold a similar qualification to this programme.
Be at least 16 years old when the apprenticeship begins.
Have the right to work in the UK.
Have been a UK/EU/EAA resident for at least the past three years prior to starting the apprenticeship.
Have completed full-time education before the apprenticeship is due to start.
Skills required

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and demonstrate a proactive approach to tasks.
Eager to learn and develop new skills in customer service and account management.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
Passionate about providing excellent customer service and supporting team goals.
Prospects
What does the future look like?
Upon successful completion of the programme — and subject to performance — you may have the opportunity to move into a permanent role within the team or business area where you completed your apprenticeship.
