The Health Innovation Network (HIN) South London supports the spread and adoption of innovation in health and social care.
Our Insights team is looking to recruit an experienced Health Economist with the passion and drive to support South London’s health and care organisations to deliver positive change through innovation.
The award-winning HIN is a vibrant and exciting place to work. We are hosted by Guy’s and St Thomas’s NHS Foundation Trust, so staff enjoy the benefits of being part of the NHS family. Our office is based near Waterloo/Westminster stations and we offer great health and wellbeing support including yoga, a book club, lunchtime walks, and regular social events. Our HIN Academy provides fantastic training to upskill staff to work collaboratively across the system. We also offer regular opportunity for staff to work from home.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of key projects at the HIN, working with colleagues in health and care organisations across south London.
We are looking for someone with excellent quantitative and interpersonal skills, who has a track record of conducting health economic evaluations. For this role, experience in building user-friendly health economic models, conducting systematic literature reviews and writing reports summarising analyses would be particularly advantageous.
Quantitative assessment: Friday 20th June or Monday 23rd June
Face to face interviews - Wednesday 25th June
We are looking for someone who:
• understands key methodological frameworks in health economics
• has a track record of conducting health economic evaluations adopting different perspectives and building user-friendly economic models
• works well as a part of team, and is able to balance priorities when working across multiple projects in a busy programme
• is able to develop close working relationships with key stakeholders at partner organisations
• is confident in presenting findings to a variety of audiences
• has experience of bid preparation and report writing

We are the bodies uniquely established to connect academics, NHS commissioners and providers, local authorities, patients and patient groups and industry to accelerate the spread and adoption of innovations and best practice, using an evidence-based approach, working across large populations. Working as catalysts of change across health and social care economies, we facilitate health improvements and economic growth.
We work across a huge range of health and care services through each of our clinical and innovation themes, to transform care in diabetes, cardiometabolic disease, mental health, community settings and social care, to accelerate digital health uptake into the NHS, and we’re passionate about education.
The Health Innovation Network helps mobilise the value that the NHS can add as an economic asset to the UK economy. The HIN works with a range of expert support and services across the health and care sectors that support NHS innovators and companies to realise the commercial and economic potential of their innovations.
As part of the HIN adaptable working principles, which allows our ability to adapt to anticipated changes in project portfolios and gives staff the opportunity to enhance their skills and expertise, the successful candidate may be asked to operate across other themes and projects.
