Vacancy Reference: 173932
Grade/Pay Scale: UofG Grade 7, £40,497 - £45,413 per annum
The University of Glasgow has been changing the world for more than 574 years. Today, we are one of the world's top 100 universities and ranked 13th in the world in the Times Higher Education (THE) World Impact Rankings 2023, demonstrating that we are not only one of the best universities in the United Kingdom, but one of the best universities for the world. Our people have always been at the forefront of innovation, and our past achievements inspire our current world changers.
The SRTP Academy Coordinator leads on the delivery of an InFrame Project (https://sway.cloud.microsoft/2puEnGlT7s7O9KXG), creating a community where research technicians feel valued and supported, challenging institutional hierarchies, and redefining research leadership.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying demand and leading on the design and delivery of workshops, networking events, and training modules for a cohort of Scottish technicians, creating immediate opportunities for professional growth while also generating long-term cultural change. Key outputs will include a visible network of research technicians, case studies highlighting technician contributions, and practical recommendations for embedding technician recognition and support into institutional policies, including a common guidance document.
SRTP Academy aims to improve individual careers and build a more inclusive and collaborative research culture, where all contributions are valued and celebrated. The postholder will coordinate the delivery, scheduling, and promotion of the Academy’s activities, manage participant registration, and gather feedback from both participants and the wider community.
