Job description
We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 driver to work at one of our clients based in Burton on Trent, DE15. As an HGV Class 2 driver you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations in a 16t or 32t flatbed lorry. This is currently a part time role with ad-hoc shifts, however, could lead to ongoing work for the right candidate. Willing to do night outs will give you an advantage.
Days, approximately 7am starts until finish.
MUST have flat bed experience
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Load and unload cargo as needed
- Plan routes and schedules to ensure on-time deliveries
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
Skills:
- Valid UK driving licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph Card with no more than 6 points on licence (No TT99, DR, IN10).
- 2 years minimum experience as a HGV Class 2 driver
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to operate flatbed truck
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of cargo
