About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a qualified, knowledgeable and skilled teacher with a proven track record of academic success and achievement to teach Level 3 WJEC Criminology at Pendleton Sixth Form College. The successful applicant must possess the ability to teach students of mixed abilities, many of whom choose to pursue these subjects at university. We are seeking someone with excellent subject knowledge who can combine academic rigour with engaging delivery that ensures student progress. The post is suitable for experienced teachers or ECTs. The successful candidate must be committed to providing pastoral support for all our students. You will be an inspirational and outstanding practitioner who promotes the highest levels of achievement for all students.
The Humanities Department comprises of Criminology, Sport, French, Spanish, Law, Geography, History, Politics and Classical Civilisation. It is the largest area in the college with approximately 950 students taking one or more of the aforementioned subjects. The departmental ethos is to put teaching and learning at the heart of everything we do. We seek to appoint a teacher who is a willing and able to go the extra mile to help improve the life chances of young people aged 16-18 in Salford.
