The Growth Company’s (GC) Justice Services are seeking a Finance, Benefit, and Debt Advisor. This role involves maintaining high performance levels, ensuring compliance, and upholding customer service standards for CRS Finance Benefit, and Debt (FBD) service. Additionally, the advisor will support the Service Manager in achieving both service and business objectives.

This role will be full time working in custody at HMP Hull, with scope to cover at HMP Humber as required.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist offenders with financial issues through capacity-building, personal finance management, debt repayment plans, and access to benefits or third-sector support
Work with participants in prison settings to help them access benefits and resolve debt issues
Provide personal spending advice and budgetary skills training
Communicate with utility suppliers, creditors, banks, and credit unions
Develop positive relationships with participants to create action plans
Adapt support to service user learning styles (face-to-face, telephony)
Ensure progress by following up on service user actions
Advocate for additional support options (e.g., food banks, credit unions)

About you:
Experience working with ex-offenders or marginalised individuals
Knowledge of debt issues and personal finance mismanagement
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Strong interpersonal skills
Competence with MI systems, spreadsheets, diaries, and email
Willingness to travel and adapt
Confidence and self-motivation

Skills Required:
Experience in training, advice, guidance, and counselling
Proven ability to meet targets in high-performance environments
Understanding of the local labour market, recruitment methods, and growth industries
Familiarity with the welfare-to-work sector and its customer base
Knowledge of training, education, and employment opportunities
High level of administrative accuracy and data security
