Description
We are seeking a Class 3 Qualified Senior Building Control Surveyor (Band 3) to join our dynamic team in the MID region. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments of building plans to ensure compliance with building regulations and safety standards.
Perform site inspections at various stages of construction to verify adherence to approved plans.
Provide expert advice to clients regarding building control processes, regulations, and best practices.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve compliance issues and offer innovative solutions.
Prepare detailed reports on inspection outcomes, compliance assessments, and recommendations for improvement.
Mentor and supervise junior surveyors, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Stay up-to-date with changes in building regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance and safety in all projects.
Requirements
Must hold a Class 3 Building Control qualification or equivalent recognized certification.
Significant experience in building control surveying, with a proven track record of managing diverse projects.
Strong understanding of building regulations, technical standards, and planning processes.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex information.
Proficiency in using relevant software and technology for building control and inspections.
Ability to work independently and manage a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
