Crynodeb

Personal Care Assistant required to assist a person living in the Shotts area with daily living needs and provide emotional support.

You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home, and in the community including attending to personal care and participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:

· Attending to personal care needs (showering, washing, dressing)

· Assisting with medication

· Preparing vegan meals, following a recipe provided. Sharing mealtimes, with the PAs choice of meal

· Trampolining, walks in nature, creative activities, weaving, sewing, knitting, participation in these activities

· Household shopping and collecting prescriptions

· Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living.

Pets in the household – you must be comfortable working with a cat and dog in the home.

Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.

The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Driver with Full UK Driving Licence preferred and you will be required to use your own vehicle – mileage allowance will be paid. (Not all PAs are required to drive)

Experience is desirable but not essential, support and guidelines provided.

Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility):
Recruiting for 3 Personal Assistants.

Guaranteed permanent position for 2 PAs per week.

Casual contract – 1 PA as and when required (annual leave and absence cover)

Days and Times:
Positions available for approximately 18 hours and 9.5 hours per week (more or less hours are available to suit candidate’s availability)

Shift pattern covering 7 days per week. Shifts available mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. Days and times to be negotiated at interview.

Hourly Rate:
£13.00 per hour
