The Governors and Head Teacher of Hylton Red House Nursery School are seeking to appoint an Assistant Early Years Practitioner, who is passionate and committed to early years.

Hylton Red House Nursery School has been part of our community for 50 years. We are a maintained nursery school, consistently graded as outstanding and highly valued by our local community. The post holder will work across the age phases, demonstrating a sound understanding of EYFS practice from Birth to 5.

The post holder will be required to work within daily patterns that potentially include lunchtime supervision, early starts and late finishes andndash; working patterns to be discussed at interview.

A minimum relevant (DfE validated) Early Years Level 2 or higher qualification is required, together with relevant experience of working with young children (Birth to 5). Staff holding an Early Years Educator qualification achieved after 2014 must also have achieved a suitable level 2 qualification in English. Knowledge of the Revised EYFS and KCSIE is essential.

The successful applicant will:

Demonstrate a sound understanding of EYFS practice and know how to use this to motivate and enthuse learners.

Understand how the role contributes to developing strong positive working relationships with the key worker and other professionals.
Understand the importance of supporting children and developing strong positive relationships with parents/carers.
Understand the importance of promoting a high sense of wellbeing for all.

Be able to work enthusiastically as part of a team to contribute to the overall aims of the nursery.andnbsp;
