Summary
Building Blocks Nurseries provide a happy and safe environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years to play and learn. They are looking for a motivated, passionate level 2 apprentice to join their experienced team.
In addition, they offer great facilities, high quality resources and a carefully planned learning environment.
You will;
Work as part of a team (in all age groups)
Plan activities
Support Meal Times & Physical Care
Clean and promote good hygiene practices
Communicate with parents and children
Provide a safe environment
Follow policies and procedures
Training
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Building Blocks will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes;
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
Functional skills in Maths and English if required
This will be delivered through Building Blocks Nursery's dedicated training provider, Realise.
Qualifications required
Good Level of Maths & English.
Skills required
Good communication skills
Punctual
Flexible
Willing to learn and take on new skills
Good Team Worker
Able to follow policies & procedures effectively
Able to interact & communicate positively
Prospects
Permanent Position if suitable, progression onto level 3.
Qualification / Standard : ST0888 Early years practitioner
Duration 15 Months
