Band 6 - Salary Range £39,912 - £48,635 pro rata
Band 5 - Salary Range £31,892 - £39,735 pro rata
Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £2,380 per annum
Plus A Relocation Allowance of up to £8,000
This post offers a unique opportunity for an experienced, innovative and charismatic individual to join Britain’s most northerly NHS Dietetic Service, based at the Gilbert Bain Hospital, Lerwick providing a wide range of services across acute and community settings. The post-holder will play a central role in delivering specialist dietetic care for children and families, as well as a general dietetic caseload.
The successful candidate will autonomously manage a diverse clinical caseload and work closely with professional colleagues and external stakeholders to deliver efficient, effective, patient-centred care. They will also support the team in the training of dietetic students, medical and other healthcare professionals as appropriate. NHS Shetland provides excellent opportunities for professional development and peer support including strong inter-island and NHS Grampian links.
Potential candidates must have excellent inter-personal skills, current HCPC registration and varied experience across a wide range of clinical conditions and settings within the UK. They should also be able to work innovatively and flexibly in order to optimize outcomes within a small workforce.
A development post from a 5 to a 6 would be considered for suitable applicants. We would also welcome discussions around secondment placement and/or hybrid or remote working
