The Opportunity
The Role of weld engineer will report to the Quality Manager and work in collaboration with the wider weld engineering capability supporting Projects and Programmes of work and providing independent assurance of welding arrangements and activities
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a weld engineer.
Your duties and responsibilities will be:
- Conduct front line inspection within fabrication shops – steel work and piping and complete inspection reporting
- Carry out NDT and associated paperwork
- Ensure compliance with controlling documentation
- Liaise with Client Inspectors
- Compile documentation packages (LTRs) concurrently
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
- CSWIP 3.1
- Lead Auditor
- Rad Interp L2
- PCN L2 – MPI / DPI
- UT
Experience:
- >3 Years experience working within Mechanical and Weld Inspection and Testing
- Good working knowledge of Health & Safety
- Good knowledge and understanding of welding and NDT techniques
- Some experience of working within a Nuclear regulated industry
- Knowledge of ISO 3834 and BSEN 1090
- Experience in both steel fabrication and pipework
