An established engineering and fabrication business in Hull is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable organisation involved in large-scale fabrication and engineering projects across multiple sectors including oil & gas, renewables, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to specification

  
  

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal teams regarding project progress and technical updates

  
  

• Prepare and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and documentation

  
  

• Support procurement processes, ensuring the correct materials and components are sourced in line with project requirements

  
  

• Liaise with workshop and production teams to ensure build accuracy and resolve any engineering queries

  
  

• Conduct site visits and inspections where necessary

  
  

• Monitor and report on project performance, including timelines, cost control, and risk management

  
  Requirements:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

    
    

  • Proven experience in a project engineering or similar role within heavy engineering or fabrication

    
    

  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and fabrication methods

    
    

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

    
    

  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with CAD or project management software is an advantage

    
    

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
