Meet *Beth
*Beth is an amazing individual who loves sensory activities, such as exploring new textures and sounds, and she thrives when engaging with the world around her. She also enjoys visiting beautiful locations like the seaside with her team. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to support *Beth during her overnight stays at our respite Chalets, where you will ensure she is safe and comfortable.
About the Role:
As Support Worker / Personal Assistant, you will support a 29-year-old female during her two waking night shifts in our respite Chalets. You’ll work closely with her and her support network, focusing on promoting her well-being and overall safety.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker for *Beth, your role will include:
* Providing Night-time Support: You’ll provide waking night support, ensuring *Beth’s
safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the night.
* Engaging in Sensory Activities: Create and participate in sensory-based activities
that *Beth enjoys, helping her to relax and have positive experiences.
* Assisting with Personal Care: Support *Beth with any personal care needs,
maintaining her dignity and comfort at all times.
* Using your Experience: Use your knowledge and experience of learning
disabilities, autism, and behaviours that challenge to support *Beth in the most
positive way.
About You:
* You have experience and awareness of supporting individuals with learning
disabilities and autism.
* You are caring, empathetic, and understand the importance of sensory activities in
supporting well-being.
* You enjoy supporting individuals and building meaningful, trusting relationships.
* You are comfortable providing waking night support, ensuring safety and well-
being throughout the night.
* You have an understanding and experience of how to support with behaviours that
challenge.
