Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part Time Forensic/Clinical Psychologist, Band 8B, to join the innovative Forensic Service in Doncaster.

This post provides an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to the delivery of Psychological Services for a specialist Forensic inpatient service. Focus will be on arange of psychological assessments, direct interventions, both individual and group, with identified patients. The role includes supporting in-patient multi-disciplinary teams in clinical reviews, and the post holder will be expected to take a lead in structured clinical risk assessment.

This post also provides an opportunity for the candidate to work in collaboration with the Consultant and the ward manager to ensure that trauma informed care is developed and embedded on the ward. The post holder would be joining the service at an exciting time when they can be a part of innovative service development.

The successful candidate should be psychologically robust and will work collaboratively as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team. A person-centred approach and a commitment to the development of a psychologically minded work force is essential. Strong teamwork and the ability to demonstrate initiative is essential, l whilst enjoying working in the busy, dynamic environment of Amber Lodge.

The Forensic Service providesforensic low secure care on Amber Lodge, for males with highly complex clinical / risk presentations in addition to a learning disability and / or autism.

Candidates should have experience of using and interpreting psychometric assessments relevant to the patient group and should be familiar with the use of structured professional clinical judgement tools in risk assessment and management.

Service-related research and evaluation is also part of the role, and opportunities for continuing professional development will be actively supported.
