We are recruiting Research Grant Managers to join the NDM Grant Management Team, working alongside researchers at the leading edge of science in the largest medical department at Oxford. The role of the Research Grants Manager is a key position within the NDM Grant Management Team, and our key objective is to provide an outstanding professional service to manage the cradle-to-grave process of research.
Reporting to the Deputy Head of Grant Management (DHoGM), you will manage an assigned portfolio of research projects, ensuring that the needs of the academics and professional services, and the requirements of research funders, are met. You will benefit from being in an environment of specialists, supporting your own growth and development, with an opportunity to effect changes to processes which will ensure delivery of consistent, high quality, professional project support in research grant management.
It is essential that you are educated to degree level or equivalent together with related experience, ideally in the higher education sector or research environment. You will have knowledge of the major funding bodies, and of current issues affecting the research funding sector. You will have demonstrable skills in effective people management and the ability to support, develop and motivate staff. Additionally, you will have excellent numeracy skills, a high level of accuracy, and attention to detail. Prior experience of Oracle Financials software or other financial software is highly desirable.
