Summary

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Secondary Specialist Provision
Location: Hulme, Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am-4:00pm)
From £120 per day
Contract: Temp to Perm

We are proud to be working exclusively with a highly regarded specialist secondary school in Hulme, currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (or equivalent) to join their supportive team as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a strong department that offers exceptional training and support, and to play a vital role in delivering meaningful educational experiences for pupils aged 11-16, all of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and require tailored learning support.

Deliver targeted SEND learning interventions (e.g. , speech and language, literacy and reading) across universal, small group, and individual levels.

Work one-to-one with pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Build strong, positive relationships with students, acting as a mentor and trusted role model.

This role is ideal for individuals considering a career in education, especially those planning to pursue teacher training (e.g. PGCE), or for those with recent experience in tutoring or intervention delivery.

Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.

The ability to connect with and motivate students, especially those with SEMH requirements.

Educated to degree level (ideally with strong academic results in English and Maths).
