As Regional Manager, you will manage relationships with commissioners, stakeholders, and partners, ensuring contractual compliance, operational excellence, and opportunities for service development and expansion. You will also oversee the implementation of new services within the region, ensuring robust mobilization and sustainability. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Operational Management Provide strategic and operational leadership across all services within the Mid and Southwest England region. Support Heads of Service and teams in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Lead on the development and implementation of service improvement plans, ensuring alignment with ABLs values and strategic goals. Act as the escalation point for complex operational issues, providing solutions and guidance to teams. Experience of managing large budgets and manging resources accordingly. Performance and Quality Assurance Monitor and analyse service performance data, using insights to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Ensure all services comply with governance, safeguarding, and health and safety standards. Conduct regular performance reviews with Heads of Service and Service Managers to address challenges and celebrate successes. Collaborate with the Peripatetic Head of Service to prioritize support for underperforming services or quality issues. Stakeholder Engagement and Business Development Work with the Relationship Manager to maintain strong relationships with commissioners, key stakeholders. Represent ABL Health at regional forums, stakeholder events, and Integrated Care System (ICS) meetings. Identify and pursue opportunities for service expansion and growth within the region, including tendering for new contracts. Service Mobilisation and Support Oversee all mobilisations within the region and line manage the Peripatetic Head of Service and Relationship Managers that will oversee the mobilisations. Work closely with the Peripatetic Head of Service to ensure robust processes and systems are established during mobilisation. Support service teams during transitional periods, addressing operational challenges and ensuring continuity of care. Strategic Planning and Reporting Develop regional strategies in line with ABLs overall business plan, ensuring alignment with local health priorities and funding opportunities. Prepare high-quality reports for senior management, commissioners, and stakeholders, demonstrating the impact and value of services. Ensure the region has strong data capture and reporting practices for internal and external use. Person Specification Qualifications and Training: Essential: Degree in Public Health, Health Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience in senior operational or regional management roles within health or social care services. Desirable: Masters degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Certification in project or performance management (e.g., PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma). Experience: Essential: Leadership experience overseeing multiple services or projects across a large geographic area. Proven track record of managing performance, delivering results, and achieving KPIs in health or social care services. Experience in mobilising new services, including TUPE processes, staff onboarding, and operational setup. Strong experience in stakeholder engagement, including working with commissioners, local authorities, and community partners. Experience in managing quality assurance, governance, and safeguarding processes. Desirable: Experience working within Integrated Care Systems (ICS) and contributing to regional health strategies. Knowledge of public health funding mechanisms and tendering processes. Skills and Competencies: Essential: Exceptional leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data and insights to inform strategic decisions. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence diverse stakeholders. Proactive and solution-focused, with a track record of addressing challenges and driving innovation. Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and data management platforms. Desirable: Knowledge of quality improvement tools and methodologies for service development. Job Requirements: Essential: Flexibility to travel regularly across the region, including occasional evening or weekend commitments and overnight stays.
