A full job description is available and attached to this advert. The main responsibilities include; Develop a close working relationship with the Divisional Co-ordinator, Service Managers and consultants and assist with the identification and resolution of day-to-day operational problems so that appropriate cover is maintained and the needs of the service are met. To plan the deployment of Divisional based medical staff ensuring that ground rules and procedures for annual and study leave, duty roster management and locum cover are adhered to, and provide monthly updates. Support delivery of administration for the recruitment and appointment of doctors, ensuring procedures are undertaken so that employment legislation and standards, including Code of Practice deadlines for trainees, are achieved. In conjunction with the Medical Staffing team, undertake required procedures for interface with preferred supplier locum agencies in order to ensure that the Trust is able to obtain locum resources at best cost and in line with NHSI and Trust directives. Support the planning for the release of Trainee and Trust doctors to attend training events, both locally and regionally as required. Maintain both manual and computerised administrative systems, ensuring information and reports can be retrieved easily on request.
