Skills & Experience:

Specialist Level 1: Educated to NVQ level 3 / A Level standard or equivalent experience.
Specialist Level 2: Educated to A’ level standard/NVQ 3 and/or experience in working in a specialist area.
Reasonable working knowledge of legislation and developments in specialist area
Strong experience of managing projects and programmes, especially with reference to process engineering
Experience of managing performance including developing reporting and monitoring techniques, demonstrating service improvements in areas of responsibility
Experience of working on, or leading, performance management regimes such as ISO 9000 or European Framework for Quality Management.
Proven ability to give sound advice and guidance on specific, straightforward cases, topics or issues
Proven ability to enforce legislation where appropriate



Desirable:

Degree in a relevant subject
Experience of working within social housing or Local Government



What's involved with this role: You’ll be part of the Business Insight and Improvement Team, focused on improving housing services from the customer’s perspective. Your role involves designing and delivering a performance management framework, monitoring data, and ensuring robust reporting to inform decisions.

You’ll help develop policies, support complaint resolution, and provide professional advice on complex cases. Compliance with regulations and council policies will be key, alongside delivering projects and initiatives aligned with business goals. You’ll also ensure high standards and specialist knowledge within Case Management and Customer Services teams.

Key duties:

Provide customer-focused specialist advice and services, staying current with relevant legislation, best practices, and policies to drive continuous service improvement.
Advise and support multi-skilled teams on less complex cases within your area of specialism.
Maintain your professional development to the required standards.
Collaborate across the organization, building and managing relationships with members, partners, and stakeholders.
Manage complex cases, ensuring accurate information is updated in systems, while acting as the key contact for customers and handling contentious issues or inspections.
