What skills and experience we're looking for
The Ripley Academy is an 11-18 school located in Derbyshire close to Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield and within easy reach of the Peak District. We are a member of the East Midlands Education Trust and work in close partnership with the other academies within the Trust including The West Bridgford School and John Flamsteed Community School. The school was inspected by Ofsted in February 2025 and was judged to have taken effective action to maintain the "Good" standards in all areas from its previous inspection.
We instil “The Ripley Way: we are ambitious, we are committed, we are proud” to ensure all our students can achieve their academic and social potential. We consequently strive to have the highest of expectations and standards from, and for, all our students. Our aim is to ensure they can achieve their version of “nothing short of remarkable”. The Ripley Academy truly is a great place to learn and to work.
We are looking to appoint a Teacher of RE able to teach across the age and ability range Year 7 to Year 13.
We welcome applications from teachers who feel they have the ability, enthusiasm and commitment to enhance the lives of students at our Academy; someone who has a true passion for the subject as well as the drive and determination to make a significant, positive impact on our students ensuring all achieve their full potential. This post will be suitable for both experienced teachers or ECTs as support is available within the department.
Our school is a happy, thriving school where the Headteacher is completely committed to raising teaching standards and outcomes for the students of this Academy.
On the application form, please focus on a detailed 'supporting statement' taking into account the person specification and indicating why you would be the best person for us to recruit to this position.
What the school offers its staff
