We are currently seeking a Senior Income Officer to join our dynamic team. The Role:

As a Senior Income Officer, you will be responsible for managing rent arrears recovery and overseeing income management processes. You’ll provide support and guidance to Income Officers, ensuring prompt action is taken on both current and former tenant debts, including low-level static debts and former tenant debts. You’ll also handle accounts in credit, assist with auditing accounts recommended for write-off, and manage Universal Credit Landlord portals and the 'breathing space' scheme.

Additionally, you’ll play a key role in driving improvements within the team, promoting efficiency, and ensuring that the service operates smoothly.

What You’ll Do:

Provide day-to-day support to Income Officers ensuring smooth operations and best practice is followed
Manage former tenant debt and low-level static current tenant debt, ensuring prompt and effective action.
Oversee and manage accounts in credit, ensuring these are handled correctly
Assist with the auditing of accounts recommended for write-off and ensure the process is completed accurately.
Manage the Universal Credit Landlord portal and oversee the ‘breathing space’ scheme
Work as part of a close-knit team to promote efficiency and improve service delivery.
Drive change and innovation, suggesting and implementing improvements within the service area
Maintain a customer-focused approach, ensuring excellent service delivery for all tenants
What We’re Looking For:

Literacy and numeracy Level 2 qualifications (or equivalent)
At least 2 years’ experience in a rent arrears recovery or income management role
Proven ability to provide support to others and manage a variety of income management tasks
Experience dealing with both current and former tenant debt, including arrears recovery and auditing processes
Knowledge of Universal Credit, the ‘breathing space’ scheme, and managing the Landlord portal
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
