About the Role

Hanover Scotland is delighted to be hiring for a Permanent Mobile Support Worker. This position involves travel across our Renfrewshire developments, working 35 hours per week .The schedule includes various shifts, including sleepovers, and is designed to promote a healthy work-life balance. You’ll be part of a dedicated team that delivers flexible, respectful, and engaging services tailored to the individual needs of our residents.

Our Very Sheltered Services are based within specific developments and provide enhanced support for adults with a range of needs, including those with physical or learning disabilities, and vulnerable individuals. We aim to empower people to live as independently as possible, with services that adapt to their personal support plans.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Continuously develop and adjust services to meet the changing needs of customers.
• Work alongside your manager to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of housing management services.
• In your manager’s absence, oversee the catering service and ensure it complies with Environmental Health regulations.
• As a lone worker, manage the building efficiently to guarantee customer’s safety and security.
• Collaborate with the Communications Department to support all aspects of customer service.
• Assist in the implementation of the Care Strategy, supporting Hanover’s goals: Happy Customers, Desirable Homes, and a Resilient Organisation.

About You

Essential

• A genuine passion for helping people.
• Able to demonstrate Hanover Scotland values in Inclusion, accountability, respect, collaboration.
• Ability to relate empathetically to people and recognise their right to choose and independence.
• Willing to work towards an SVQ and registration with SSSC.
• Ability to work flexibly and as a lone worker on site, covering a 24-hour shift pattern.
• Able to use Microsoft or equivalent applications competently.
• A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required. Mileage expenses will be reimbursed.

Desirable

• 1 year experience in care or housing setting.
• SVQ level 2 or above and be willing to work towards an SVQ 3.
• Demonstrated commitment and ability to undertake care practice in accordance with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) code of practice, National Care Standards, Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care and Hanover's policies and procedures.
