Summary

Are you a skilled mobile mechanic with a passion for keeping vehicles and equipment in top condition? We’re looking for a dedicated Mobile Vehicle Mechanic to join our team and ensure that our JP Rentals Vehicles on hire to our customers are repaired, serviced, and maintained, ensuring they are fully operational and back ready for use. As a key member of our JP Rentals Division, you’ll work independently at various locations, whether roadside or at customer sites, while collaborating with a supportive team to prioritise safety, performance, and customer satisfaction Key Responsibilities include:

> Diagnose issues and perform repairs and maintenance both roadside and at customer sites on a wide range of vehicles, including various makes and models.
> Carry out routine services such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
> Diagnose and address issues in engine management, electrical systems, braking systems, and more.
> Make necessary repairs and replacements to ensure vehicles meet required standards and pass inspections..
> Test replaced parts to verify vehicles are operating correctly, without faults..
> Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of daily tasks in a busy environment.
> Ensure all equipment complies with legal and safety regulations.
> Proactively identify potential future wear and tear or faults during vehicle inspections and maintenance.
> Work collaboratively with team members to ensure the smooth and efficient completion of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
> Report any issues or concerns to Rentals Manager
> Assist with workshop and depot repairs when needed.
> Deliver exceptional service to our customers, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and care

Are you the right person?
We’d love to see the following skills, qualifications, and experience from our applicants:

> Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or an equivalent qualification).
> Proven experience in vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs, particularly with multi-fleet vehicles.
> Strong problem-solving abilities with a talent for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
> Keen attention to detail, maintaining high standards in both the quality of your work and vehicle safety to ensure all vehicles are roadworthy.
> Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non technical team members or customers.
> Experience in working to deadlines and consistently meeting set goals.
> A positive, proactive approach to work, with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership over your tasks.
> A team-oriented individual who thrives when working independently, demonstrating flexibility and initiative as required.
> Enjoys being on the road, interacting with customers and providing exceptional service while working in various locations.

Our successful candidate must have a valid driving license (less than 3 points)
