An excellent opportunity has arisen within our Housing Service where you will work as a Modern Apprentice Joiner within the Construction Trades visiting tenants’ premises to carry out repairs; working on capital investment sites, e.g. new build, kitchen refurbishments and window and door replacements. You will learn how to work to all the various Council Standards including Health & Safety and Customer Service and carry out other duties as required for the Service. As a Modern Apprentice, you will work towards the Carpentry & Joinery Modern Apprenticeship SCQF Level 6 and be willing to undertake any other training relevant to the role. You will be 16-19 years old (or a 2025 official summer leaver) and be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm this role and a commitment to learn. You will attend Forth Valley College for the required training.

This opportunity is funded through the Modern Apprenticeship scheme and candidates between 20-29 years old may be eligible for enhanced funding if you have a disability or are care experienced.
