To deliver in the following areas:
• Creation of requisitions into purchase orders.
• Ensuring goods and services are purchased in accordance with the Trusts Standard Financial Instructions and Procurement Operating Procedures.
• Providing support, advice and guidance to deliver best value to the Trust.
• Communicating with suppliers and customers to ensure goods and services meet agreed lead times and are of satisfactory quality.
• Identifying and maintaining the Procurement catalogue items.
• Supporting the Category teams.
• Administrative support for the Procurement Ordering System(s).

Face to face interviews will be arranged and dates/times sent to the applicants who are short-listed.

Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salaryrequiredfor sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.

You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies



• Processing of requisitions into purchase orders.
• Purchasing in accordance with Procurement Operating Procedures.
• Ensuring value for money is achieved through assessment of whole life costs.
• Recommending appropriate sources of supply / savings opportunities via the uptake of national, regional and local contracts.
• Managing suppliers’ performance, including delivery on time, errors, returns and invoice problems.
• Supporting the Procurement Helpdesk in resolving issues and queries
• Providing Procurement Systems Support as necessary
• Supporting Procurement Systems Training

The Procurement Officer will work within the wider Procurement team to:

Process requisitions into purchase orders within the 48 hour agreed SLA.
Ensure catalogue items are maintained at the correct specification and price.

Communicate with suppliers.

Communicate with customers across their respective Trusts

Provide guidance and expertise on Trust non-pay spend.

Provide information to support quotations and tendering exercises, when required.

Provide a quality Procurement service to the Customers, Directorates and Divisions within all Trusts that the Procurement Team delivers a service to.

Support with Procurement Systems administrative tasks and training
