As a Care Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our residents’ daily lives, offering support with personal care, mobility, and overall well-being while fostering a warm and homely environment.
About Towy Castle
Set within three acres of picturesque grounds overlooking the Towy estuary, Towy Castle was originally built as a grand mansion in the 18th and 19th centuries. Now a 61-bed care home, we specialise in residential and dementia care, providing compassionate support tailored to each individual’s needs.

Your Role
• Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, and mobility support.
• Provide companionship and emotional reassurance to residents.
• Help with evening routines, ensuring residents feel safe and comfortable.
• Monitor residents’ health and well-being, reporting any concerns as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment.

Skills & Experience
✓ Experience in care is helpful but not required—full training is provided.
✓ A caring nature and strong desire to make a difference.
✓ Good communication skills (verbal and written).
✓ Willingness to learn and follow care plans.
✓ Understanding of safeguarding, health & safety, and confidentiality.
✓ Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Shift & Pay Details
Hours: 17.5 hours per week, 17:00 PM – 22:00 PM (3 shifts on, 3 shifts off on a rota basis inclusive of weekend working and public holidays)
Pay: £12.60 per hour
