Gloucestershire Professional Services (GPS) is recruiting a Student Safeguarding Officer to join the Safeguarding team based at Gloucestershire College.

The main purpose of the role is to work closely and proactively with staff and students with a key focus on ensuring students safety, and be pivotal in working with other teams to facilitate this.

At Gloucestershire College, we are dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of our students. Our Safeguarding team is made up of Student Safeguarding Officers at each campus who work collaboratively to create a safe and supportive environment for all students. The team plays a crucial role in addressing safeguarding concerns, providing guidance, and offering one-to-one support to students who are at risk of or experiencing abuse, neglect and/or exploitation.

As a Student Safeguarding Officer, you will be responsible for responding to safeguarding disclosures, leading on safeguarding cases, and liaising with external agencies when needed. You will also support the organisational confidence around safeguarding through delivery of safeguarding training and awareness campaigns, contributing to a culture of vigilance and respect across the college. This is a dynamic and varied role, where you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of students.

This is a full-time, year-round position with up to 37 hours per week, offering the opportunity to work across Gloucester, Cheltenham, and Cinderford campuses. If you are passionate about safeguarding and want to join a supportive, forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you.

A career with us means much more than just a salary- we know that our people are our greatest asset.
