Basic DBS disclosure required
Skills & Experience:
A Level qualification, NVQ 3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
Excellent knowledge of ICT tools including MS Office and other relevant programs.
Knowledge of database management and production of reports.
A good understanding of complex work practices, processes and procedures within the specified area of work.
Experience and excellent skills in preparing clear and succinct meeting notes.
Experience in diary management for Senior Officers to organise large meetings and events.
Experience of providing administrative support and working with a range of partnership organisations such as other LA’s or Health Partners.
Ability to communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders to resolve and escalate complex issues in a professional manner.
What's involved with this role: As a Senior Business Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing essential guidance and technical support at an advanced level of knowledge in that area, fostering development, and championing new systems and ways of working.
Key duties:
Provide clear guidance, coaching, and technical support to team members, enhancing collective skills and overall performance within established guidelines.
Deliver exceptional customer service through effective call handling, resolving complex or escalated queries with professionalism, accuracy, and empathy.
Organise and support complex multi-agency meetings, capturing decisions accurately and summarising key points to ensure clear communication and accountability.
Uphold strong knowledge of procedures while ensuring high accuracy in data entry across spreadsheets and internal systems.
Collect, analyse, and interpret diverse data to extract insights, support decision-making, and monitor service performance effectively.
