Job Summary:
The Outreach and Evangelism Pastor will lead and oversee the church's outreach and evangelism efforts, ensuring that GGIC fulfills its mission to help individuals belong, grow, and become "Bigger, Better, and Brighter."
This role involves developing strategies to engage the local community, equipping members for evangelism, and fostering spiritual growth through outreach initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Outreach Strategy Development:
o Develop and implement a comprehensive outreach and evangelism strategy aligned with GGIC's vision and mission.
o Identify opportunities to engage the local community and build relationships that lead to spiritual growth.
Evangelism Training and Leadership:
o Equip and train church members to confidently share their faith and participate in evangelism activities.
o Lead and mentor outreach teams to effectively engage with the community.
Community Engagement:
o Organize and oversee community events, service projects, and outreach programs to connect with individuals and families.
o Build partnerships with local organizations to extend the church's impact.
Preaching and Teaching:
o Preach and teach on topics related to evangelism, discipleship, and outreach during church services and special events.
o Provide biblical guidance and encouragement to the congregation in their evangelistic efforts.
Follow-Up and Discipleship:
o Develop systems for following up with new believers and visitors to ensure they are integrated into the church community.
o Oversee discipleship programs to nurture spiritual growth among new and existing members.
Administrative Duties:
o Manage the outreach and evangelism budget, ensuring resources are used effectively.
o Maintain records of outreach activities and their impact on the community.
Qualifications:
o A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to the mission and values of GGIC.
o Proven experience in outreach, evangelism, or pastoral ministry.
o Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
o A passion for community engagement and sharing the Gospel.
o Knowledge and experience of Adult, Child and vulnerable individual safeguarding
