Skills & Experience:

HNC (or equivalent) in Building studies or equivalent
GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
Demonstrable knowledge of building construction, building defects, services, Health and Safety legislation.
Detailed knowledge of legislation and current practice relating to repair, maintenance and development of buildings and land.
An understanding of contract administration processes and systems.
Experience of advising others on technical matters and putting forward projects or business cases.
Experience of working with the public housing Sector
Ability to survey, inspect and measure dwellings
Able to produce comprehensive technical specifications, drawings and contract documentations



What's involved with this role: You will be responsible for the provision of high quality and comprehensive stock condition surveys.

Key duties:

Lead and coordinate stock condition survey processes, ensuring consistent data collection across service areas.
Plan and deliver a 5-year rolling programme of surveys, prioritising properties based on condition, inspection history, and other key factors.
Carry out property inspections, assess condition and component age, and raise urgent works orders as needed.
Manage and update the stock condition database with accurate survey data, including compliance with legislative requirements.
Support maintenance planning through feasibility studies and site supervision, ensuring works meet health, safety, legal, and quality standards.
