Crynodeb
The limb reconstruction service at St Georges has been steadily growing over the last decade, treating patients from South London, the south east and beyond. The service focusses on the management of acute complex trauma (open fractures, periarticular fractures, bone loss); and the management of post traumatic sequalae, deformity correction and non-union. The regional amputation service is delivered by the limb reconstruction team. The multidisciplinary service includes dedicated orthoplastic clinics and operating capacity, and a regular microbiology MDT for bone infection. The service is supported by a full time clinical nurse specialist in limb reconstruction, as well as dedicated physiotherapists. Research and educational opportunities are readily. We are looking for a highly motivated trauma and limb reconstruction surgeon to join the team and help develop it further.
