Sharmans Cross Junior School is seeking an inspirational and dedicated Deputy Headteacher to join our vibrant school community from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a passionate leadership team, driving school improvement and ensuring every pupil receives the highest quality education.
As Deputy Headteacher, you will:
Shape and embed the school’s vision, values, and strategic direction.
Lead on teaching and learning, ensuring a broad, balanced, and high-quality curriculum.
Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), promoting the safety and well-being of all pupils.
Champion inclusion, ensuring that all children, including those with SEND and disadvantaged backgrounds, thrive.
Develop and support staff, leading CPD and professional learning initiatives.
Monitor and evaluate school performance, ensuring continuous improvement.
Build strong partnerships with parents, governors, and the wider community.
Deputise for the Headteacher, ensuring the smooth running of the school.
We are seeking a passionate, approachable, and forward-thinking leader with:
Proven leadership experience in a middle or senior management role.
A track record of outstanding classroom teaching.
Strong knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and evidence-based pedagogy.
A deep commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and staff and pupil well-being.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to lead, inspire, and collaborate.
The ability to strategically drive school improvement and manage change effectively.
Believes in our school culture, values and ethos and shares the same aspirations for all aspects of our school while working in partnership with our children, staff, parents and governors.
Is committed to helping every child to be successful and achieve well.
Will be an ambassador and advocate for our school and everything that we strive to achieve for our pupils.
Is an education enthusiast with a passion for how children learn, the quality of curriculum and professional pedagogy.
